Preventative maintenance agreements
Most manufacturers of heating and cooling equipment require professional preventive maintenance on their equipment to maintain the warranty. Many contractors offer service contracts that will include a visit in the spring to tune up the air conditioning system and a visit in the fall to prepare the heating system for winter. When you sign a maintenance agreement, you most likely will receive discounts on repairs and the purchase of new equipment.
Tech-Air’s preventive maintenance programs (which includes 24-hours emergency service) are customized to suit each client’s unique facility requirements. As an experienced refrigeration contractor, Tech-Air also supplies a wide range of products and services, including design-build cold storage rooms, environmentally controlled rooms, computer room air conditioning systems, water-cooled to air-cooled equipment conversions and CFC conversions.
When a trained service technician comes to your home to perform the maintenance check, they will do several things:
- Check refrigerant levels and inspect for leaks
- Clean and straighten condenser coils to ensure proper air flow
- Check gas connections for leaks
- Tighten all electrical connections
- Lubricate all moving parts
- Test thermostat to make sure it’s cycling the system on and off properly
